I've just upgraded from Vegas 8 to 11 and the Sony Noise Reduction II software I was using previously does not load when I open the program now. No amount of reinstalling does the trick. Nor does it appear in the audio aps menu when working on a project. Any ideas?
The NR plugin only shows up in the 32bit version of VP11. You can have both 32 and 64 bit versions installed at the same time.
That said I had problems capturing a noiseprint. The only mode that worked was to select Automatic capture and click on the Capture check box while playing. Previously I would set a loop around the area to capture and click the play button and NR would capture a noiseprint. This works in VP10 32bit.
Amazing! Well, I can of course double install Sony Vegas 11.0 in both 32 and 64 bit versions, but I'm surprised it wouldn't occur to Sony that professionals might actually want to own the 64 bit version. This is going to make for somewhat clumsy workflow to do most of my editing in 64 bit and then do audio clean up in 32 bit--plus the final render in 32 bit in order to avoid losing my audio settings. I very much hope Vegas fixes this weakness! THANK YOU for helping me figure out a work around for the time being.
