This is somewhat related to questions I was asking earlier in the week.
I have done a number of screen capture AVI files, at 800 x 480, 1.0 pixel aspect ratio, 15 fps.
VV3 won't allow me to MPEG (either 1 or 2) these, presumably because the frame size is non-standard. Does anyone know if this is a limitation of MPEG format, of of VV? If a limitation of VV, any suggestions for product that will convert my AVI's to MPEG? This is AFTER I've edited them in VV. I could render them back as avi and then import in something else? ie Cleaner 5?
Alternatively, I COULD leave them as AVI - i will be putting them in a MM Director Project for PC, so I don't want to use a "non-standard" format such as Quicktime. I have a great plugin for playing AVI or MPEG. If I can't convert to MPEG, any suggestions for a good STANDARD avi codec that will allow the non-standard frame size? Everything I try seems to be pretty big (imagine that - it's an AVI!) :)
Thanks for any input!
