As you increase resolution everything gets smaller, taking up less screen real estate. Have you tried undocking the preview window? Click on the thin vertical bar just to left while holding down your left mouse and drag it up and to the left which should free it. Once it is "floating" you can resize it like any window by dragging on a corner. Dragging it make to its home position show automaticaly shrink it and dock it again.
