Not recognising VCR

I have a Sony VioPCV-LX910 and a JVCGR DVL9000 video camera. My OS is ME. Using a DV to DV plug I cannot get Video Facory to recognise the device. Do I need to install a driver, in the directions it says not to but in the help it says to. PLEASE HELP

Try them and see if it helps.
