Not sure what is going on here

I am editing a project on V13 Build 453 desktop system with no issues. I transferred the project to an external USB3 drive so someone else could work on it on a laptop. The laptop only has V10. I exported an EDL. V10 opened it fine but once I re-synced all the clips, several are missing the video portion but the audio is there.

As you can see in the image, a clip is missing. But that clip is part of all the others you can see. It's one long clip that was cut up. This happens several times with different clips. And as you can see in the Properties window, there is no active take name.

As to why I didn't use V13 on the laptop, it is installed but I kept getting a managed exception error while opening the project that I have been unable to solve.

Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks

Paul

Vegas Pro projects have never purported to be backwards compatible.
I suppose by extension, that the same applies to EDLs, as well.

That said, are all your assets on the thumb drive?
Do your file sizes exceed the FAT32 limitation?

Yes all the files are on the external drive. No they do not exceed the limitation because the drive is formatted NTFS. They are all mxf's shot with the Sony EX-1.

It's strange that the first instance of the long clip is missing but all the rest are there.

What type of EDL did you export? Did you have more than one video track?

It was the basic text EDL. It has 5 video and 2 audio tracks. Nothing fancy. Just some fade in and outs.
