You are adding the effect to a track and not to an event on that track. Therefore you must drag the FX from the FX window to 1 event on the time line (ore more than one)

@riu As j-v and the information message indicates, better to add to events.
I've used it at the track and even project level without issue, so I would take the warning with a grain of salt unless it starts to cause problems for you, then start going back to the event level.

Yess and if you select all the events or some more and drag it to the first, the fx will be add to all selected events on your timeline. BTW. It is not my opinion, but that's how it have to go following the manual.

Sorry, but how do you say I add the effects to the first? I'm trying to do it, but I don't understand how.
All the files has that FX, but you made the first one other than the default. And than you must also alter the others. If you want use on every event exactly the same, you first have to make that preset and save it with the button you can use for saving a preset ( see the manual). Than you have to drag that preset to the first one after the same procedure and all the others get the same preset.
No, you did not. First of all you have to make a suitable preset for that type of video. Such a preset is normally shown as a preset together with the default or other presets and that one you have to enter to the first of the selected tracks. I can show you with another FX how that normally goes and the results.
1. Select a default or preset FX and add it 2. Make your changes 3. Give it your own name and store it by using the mapsymbol 4. After closing that FX, look something else and go back you will se it in the list.
It looks like it is good, but if you have other and better renderoptions I can't see those because you use filters after clicking "render to" ( BTW that button is also on your taskbar)
