I just noticed Movie Studio 3.0b is available on the download page. The readme file doesn't appear to be updated so I have no idea what is new other than there appears to be a Japanese version now (I don't remember a Japanese version).
I didn't run into any initial problems. Of course, I really didn't run into many bugs with 3.0a. In fact, the only bug in 3.0a that I know about (the inability to render looped regions to swf) seems to be fixed in 3.0b.
Unfortunately, swf files still will not play over and over as a loop. I know this was an issue with you although I would categorize that as a poor design decision rather than a bug.
The 10+ MB in difference in installer size between 3.0a and 3.0b seems mostly due to the addition of .lng (language?) files.
discdude, you're right: Japanese is new and "Render loop region only" in Flash now works.
Other than that the only major thing is in Video Capture: Options--> Preferences--> Capture tab now has the preferences listed correctly.
Topic 28 "Credit Roll" stated that there was a patch to fix the problem with the credit roll. Is Movie Studio 3.0b what I need to download to fix this?
Suzan - when can we expect an upgrade which will remove the rather annoying stop action in SWF so flash files will loop by default? I should point out that a SWF that loops by default can still be stopped by either a user, or a web page author.
I'm not on my computer that has Movie Studio so I don't know how to get back to the download page. I do remember that the file I viewed appeared after I clicked on the 3.0b download and I recall that 3.0b was spelled out in the notes. You can check the release notes without doing the download.

Thanks Suzan - I'll make the feature request. I was told by Wildform that they wrote the template to Sony's specification - so I can only conclude that Sony specifically requested the stop action that prevents SWF files from looping.
