NTSC 4.43 or 3.58

I'm in PAL land and going to record a NTSC VHS tape to go to Taiwan which I believe uses the same NTSC system as the USA. The VCR gives me a choice of two types of NTSC, 4.43 or 3.58.
I think this is the color burst frequency and maybe irrelevant when recording to tape. Anyone in NTSC land able to shed any light on this.

No one in the US knows anything about this?

NTSC-M (3.58) is used in most NTSC countries (North America etc).
The exception is Japan, which commonly uses NTSC-J (4.43).

Tons of posts about this can be found on google among other places- search on NTSC 4.43.

For Taiwan, use 4.43
