NTSC and PAL from the same project

Happy New Year everyone. I'm a little over my head here.

I have converted some S8 film to digital for a customer here in the Toronto area. The original goal of the project was to edit the footage (standard def.) with Vegas 8 Pro and create a menu based DVDA project to create the DVD. The customer now advises that he'd like to send a copy to his brother in England to play on his television.

Is this simply a case of rendering the V8P project again using the PAL DV template and creating a second DVDA project to burn the second disc?

Thanks in advance.

This has been answered several times on this forum. Sometimes you can just send them an NTSC DVD. Many if not all PAL countries have players that can play multiple standards.

Thanks for the (very) speedy reply.

I understand that modern palyers can post double duty but I have no idea of the vintage of the English gear. How can I goof proof this in the event that the English palyer is PAL only?

How can I goof proof this...

Do as you thought you should in your first post.
Be advised that this will take (a lot of) extra render time.
Make sure that DVDA is set to PAL mode as well.
