NTSC to PAL conversion

I have a NTSC DV camera but moved to a place where PAL is the standard. Now, If I render my projects to a PAL standard, the motion is not as smooth (yet not jerky) and I get jagged edges on sharp objects. While the untrained eye does not easily catch this, it is noticable. I just use the PAL DVD template with all the default options.

It's not going to be perfect, they are pretty different video standards. Networks use very expensive boxes to do this conversion.

Try both "deinterlace methods" (blend, interpolate) in Project Properties; depending on your footage, it might improve the conversion.
