NublueFX Plugins issues with VP15

JBBunno wrote on 9/9/2017, 1:08 PM

Hi I just upgraded from 14 to 15, I ran my my video and used color corrector from NublueFX
The plugin says I am registered but I still get the FX watermark. I tried logging into NublueFX and I got a message saying "The owner of this website (www.newbluefx.com) has banned you temporarily from accessing this website."... Plus no email address to contact them.
Pretty average set up and I cant use my plug ins that I paid for when I bought VP 14 with the newblue bundle.
Where do i go from here??? No email to contact them and my email address is banned form there site ...

JBBunno, just send support questions to support at newblueinc.com. If you were "banned temporarily", you must have tried to log in unsuccessfully multiple times. We can certainly help you get logged in again.

I've been trying to get full confirmation of this but, apparently, the VP14 bundle will get a watermark in VP15 at this time.

I see here also the watermark in VP15 with this plugin from the VP14 bundle, so maybe the same story as with Mercalli 4 and proDAD.

Based on what I have gathered so far, it appears the VP14 bundle will watermark in 15.

Dang it! Pay $350 for a new engine and suddenly, all four wheels fall off and the radio explodes for no reason. :D

Here is the response from NewBlue

The filters were provided free with Vegas Pro 14 and still work fine in Vegas Pro 14. I am sorry but there will be a watermark in 15.

NewBlueFX"

What a Joke, no mention from Vegas on upgrading we would lose this bundle.

Again the same story as with proDAD: you have purchased a license with the Vegas Pro 14 bundle only - and not a general license.

Vegas should have made this known before we paid for the 15 upgrade. So now I have 15 and cant use my plugins!!!!!

Wolfgang S. wrote on 9/12/2017, 2:28 AM

Do you know any example in the past where such a communication took place? I do not know any example for that.

But they aren't 'your' plugins. They were plugins licensed to you for use with VP14. 😩

jetdv wrote on 9/12/2017, 9:25 AM

I don't make the rules - I just report them. However, I'm trying to get a definitive answer on this.

JBBunno wrote on 9/12/2017, 4:30 PM

Typically when I have paid for plugins with adobe , they transfer on each upgrade without issue. I upgraded from 13 to 14 and took advantage of the plugin offer. At no time did Vegas mention they were for 14 only. I would rather get a refund on 15 and stay with 14 so i can use these plugins. Had this been made clear I would not have upgraded to go backwards at additional cost to me. Either Magix have overlooked this or they were hoping it would not be an issue. Either way the customer loses.

JBBunno wrote on 9/12/2017, 6:03 PM

Simply wrong Cornico. I used the upgrade option after reading the reviews, no mention of paid plugins not being active.

JBBunno wrote on 9/13/2017, 1:32 AM

My other plugins are active just not NewBlueFX, Questions are better than assumptions. I am looking for terms and conditions that stated that these plugins were only for Version 14, if they exist then its on me. If not then that is a different situation.
I also purchased NewBlue Stabilizer and Titler Pro at the same time. These Plugins are working in V15

I am unable to advise you with your vehicle issues Cornico, you may need to start a new thread for that.
But thanks for your very constructive input.

Wolfgang S. wrote on 9/13/2017, 6:28 AM

There is no need to mention that bundled plugins will not work outsinde the bundle. Simply because nobody promised that they will do.

And if you can point them to terms and conditions or an EULA where they state that bundled plugins will work in future versions, that would be a good reason to get a refund. But I think you will not find such a statement at all.

Yes Wolfgang, you are probably right, this dog is now dead. I still have the exe file for the plugins, I think the Ts and Cs display on loading. If I can be bothered I will reload and read them.
Life is too short for this thread to go as long as it has lol.

NewBlue FX plugins that were bundled in VEGAS Pro 14 can now be made to work in VEGAS Pro 15 without a watermark. See this post: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/newblue-vp14-bundle-in-vp15--111715/
