nudge & offset

Can you move a clip less than one frame? If you want to move a clip a fraction of a frame, can you specify an offset by a specific amount?

Can you place a marker at any position, rather than only snapping to one frame?

You are talking about moving audio in relation to video ?

Select what sort of snapping you want ( or none) in the options menu. Also switch off 'Quantise to frames'.

Vegas defaults to "Quantize to frame" (or something like that -- I can't get to a Vegas computer right now). You can turn that off, then move a clip to anywhere you want.
You'll need to change your snap setting, too.

You can nudge an event down to the sample level. (I'm not at the studio now and I don't recall the keystrokes.
