Either rollback driver or upgrade to VP23.

Then talk to nVidia! They broke it!

I agree. I'm rapidly going off NVidia due to their arrogant attitude. It's not just Vegas that is affected.

This is exactly how I feel.

I posted the same complaint on Nvidia website. Also asked for help here on different threads.

Rolling back does help, but it is not a solution. Also due to the fact that the PC I have Vegas pro on is also my gaming PC, raises some questions about the performance of the games I am playing in free time.

I upgraded to Vegas 23 but some features that I wanted to use for my current project are not performing the way I want them to... Which overall is quite disappointing.

We just need to hope Nvidia might bring back legacy encoders, since apparently the new drivers affected a lot of applications.

What NVENC encoder issue exactly?

I use V22 with 591.44 studio driver and no issue when rendering with nvenc Voukoder.

#1 Ryzen 5-1600, 16GB DDR4, Nvidia 1660 Super, M2-SSD, Acer freesync monitor

#2 i7-2600, 32GB, Nvidia 1660Ti, SSD for system, M2-SSD for work, 2x4TB hdd, LG 3D monitor +3DTV +3D projectors

Win10 x64, Vegas22 latest

Voukoder and HOS use FFMEG which is likely not using the older code, however V22 and other applications use the older code and therefore are broken.

huh so if i ever update the drivers i should rollback or use voukoder
good to know

Worth noting that the old free Voukoder does not work in V23 due to the rendering engine change in V23, the new Voukoder Pro a paid version does work. However if you are considering a paid application then also maybe consider happy Otter Scripts (HOS) as this has Render+ built in which provides very similar render options to the old Voukoder and many other useful tools for a similar one off price. HOS works in older Vegas versions and V23.

btw I can't use VP23 because it has serious issues with .mov (quicktime or ProRes) and alpha channels, aac.. I just can't... I need a solution, please devs.

Same here vegas 23 have critical bugs. Imposible to use for me like profesional work. But you can get voukouder and render... Exist a free version. Nvidia send a official reply to magix but magix not said nothing yet.

voukouder is not friendly, it's complicated to install and configure... I gave up

@13Year_User My understanding is that the free version is no longer available.
