Nvidia drivers..How to uninstall last version..

Hi,

I'm currently on Vegas 12 running GeForce GTX 560 driver V335.23

I was looking at updating the drivers to the latest version and was wondering if anything went wrong (or I'm not happy) how do you uninstall and go back to V335.23 (without creating a restore-point)?

Thanks

There are several available driver cleaners out there..

This is one of the better ones:

Make sure you scroll down toward the bottom of the page till you see:

" Download Locations "

As with most free stuff - you may see crapware offered during the install - just make sure you decline the add-on stuff..

Install V335.23 using the advanced settings and the clean install option.

This will completely remove the latest driver and install driver V335.23.

If you do not use the advanced settings and the clean install option you could end up with a big mess.

I always have complete cloned backups just in case and some time ago I tried the install without the advanced settings and clean install and ended up with a big mess that I easily cleaned-up using my backup cloned drive.

I quit using restore points years ago when they failed miserably to get the job done right. There is always something left over that the restore point does not clear up.

The cloned drive backup method and/or a good alternative backup plan will get you back to where you were as if nothing ever happened.

If you do not currently have a backup plan, GET ONE NOW!!! Sorry about the yell, but I cannot emphasize enough the importance of a good backup plan!

I use Casper.

This software has served me well for a number of years now. It has also saved my system numerous times!

I hope this helps.
