NVidia GTX 670 not showing up as a valid GPU

Hi All,

I've just built myself a very nice new little system:
16GB of RAM
Ivy Bridge 3770K processor
Gigabyte GTX GeForce 670 2GB Video Card
Z77 motherboard
128GB SSD
Noctua NH-U9B cooler

all very nice at everything EXCEPT Sony Vegas Platinum 11 does not detect the GPU. I am running the latest Nvidia drivers.

Any ideas?

Hi mje- I need to upgrade my system for the 3D options and am thinking
along these lines also. (I'm just getting the ASUS 27 inch 3D 120 megahertz LED monitor.)

I do not have a answer for you but will keep an eye on the answers others supply you.

Good luck,
Bill

Several others have seen this for other NVidia cards. I don't recall seeing a solution, but you may want to search the forum going back 12 months, When you say "not a valid GPU" do you mean that when you click "Check GPU" in custom render settings, you don't get "CUDA is available" output?

correct - when i click "Check GPU" Vegas does not detect the GPU.
