Nvidia, Resizable BAR

Anyone any thoughts on this, Vegas + Nvidia does .. in small packages -

'Resizable BAR is an optional PCI Express interface technology. As you move through a world in a game, GPU memory (VRAM) constantly transfers textures, shaders and geometry via many small CPU to GPU transfers.

With the ever-growing size of modern game assets, this results in a lot of transfers. Using Resizable BAR, assets can instead be requested as-needed and sent in full, so the CPU can efficiently access the entire frame buffer. And if multiple requests are made, transfers can occur concurrently, rather than queuing.'

Anyway, i turned it on in Bios, I haven't changed or updated Studio Driver,

3.55min UHD 3840x2160 clip rendered using Magix AVC (NVENC)

before Resize BAR turned on - 2.15min

after Resize BAR turned on - 2.06minm

Benchmark render times are pretty much the same as before BAR turned on,,

I should've done more testing before i turned it on & i don't know if playback is affected for good or bad, but gonna keep updating this as n when...

I never turned it on because it's for games, but not every game, white listed games by Nvidia. Apparently you can force Resizeable Bar with non white listed games(or other software?) via Nvidia Inspector. In a year+ old review of ReBar, this was said

Please note that we did not include programs for work like Photoshop, Blender, DaVinci Resolve, etc. in our testing, because they do not get any benefit from reBAR at all. Therefore, if you are only working at a computer, you may not even bother to turn on the technology. Although who knows, maybe in the future, working software will also start using the resizing of the memory register.

If that 9 second difference in render time is repeatable between on and off states in Bios maybe the current information on ReBar isn't correct
