I have been using VMS Platinum 9 for a few months, learning how to edit my Cannon fs10's footage. A few weeks ago I bought a JVC GY HM 100u, which takes native NXCAM EX mp4 video. Thank you, Sony! However VMS 9 doesn't recognize the file format.

I downloaded the trial of Pro 9, which loaded and edited clips nicely (the NXCAM EX explorer didn't function, though; I imagine it is locked in the trial version). However, that is now up and I have a decision to make.

I see VMS 10 is now available. Does this version of VMS support NXCAM EX? I am not doing high end professional work (yet), so I'm a little reluctant to pull the trigger on Pro 9.

The other option is fixing VMS 9. It it even possible to edit NXCAM EX with it? I've installed every codec pack, divx, and quicktime versions I can find to no avail (I've given up on recording .mov).
