O.T. Copying rendered project back to MDV

After reading several hundred posts on vob files. I decided the fastest thing for me was to capture dvd back to my xl1 and go from there. Can I do the same thing from my computer thru the firewire back to my xl1. Either with a rendered project or a dvd? I know the camera will record it, I just can't figure out how to get the project to play back to the camera.

P.S. Does the $49 Ulead movie maker program really convert dvd to a usable file for vegas?

I was aware of that function. I never thought about bringing the rendered file back into vegas and copy it to mdv that way. That will work
