Object reference error on cuts-only script

This is weird. I've been using johmeyer's "Cuts Only" scripts for a while now, with great success. Suddenly, and for no reason that I can see, I'm getting the dreaded "Error: Object reference not set ot an instance of an object" message whenver I run the "Delete Event Under Cursor" script. Running the "Delete From Cursor to Event Start" script now does nothing at all.

I've reinstalled .NET 1.1, and run a "Repair Existing Installation" from the Vegas 5.0b installer. Still have the same problem. This was working perfectly before! What $%^&* up my machine?

I had this same thing happen with another script today. The only thing that I did differently was cancel the rendering (render que script) and after that I couldn't get it to work with out an object error. I rebooted, reinstalled, eeverything.

Did you find and answer or does anybody else know what may be the problem? Did you cancel anything similar to what I did?

thanks,
Cheroxy

No answer, no solution, no joy.
It still works on my laptop, but not on my desktop. I don't recall if I cancelled anything or not, but I did have to some emergency repair work on Windows XP when my firewire deck got schizy.

I can't figure it out.

Use forum search. Asked and answered many times. It is a bug in Vegas. Here's one answer:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object

Thanks, I did a search, but not thorough enough it looks like.

BTW, that is psycho that, that is all I have to do to fix it!

Actually, it's even easier to fix: Install DVDA 2b or Vegas 5b and that problem should also be gone. That problem was introduced in Vegas 5.0b and fixed with DVDA 2b.

Actually, I did do a search, tried the workaround and no go. I'm using 5.0d. That's why I'm stumped.
