Odd Rendering Problems/Crashes

Hey everyone I have submitted my problem to Sony and haven't gotten a reply yet, but every time and I mean EVERY TIME I try to render a five minute video it crashes. Vegas either crashes automatically after I begin rendering or crashes randomly during the rendering process.
I just got this program last week spent 130 dollars on it, and I don't want that money to go to waste because I can't render my project. Any suggestions as to why it crashes randomly like this? Sometimes I'll even get as far as 94% and then bam it crashes. The film uses MP3 sound files, WMV files, and AVI files, and no transitions, or any special effects.

Sorry for your trouble... THIS unfortunately sounds similar.

As a test I decided to get rid of the MP3 sound/music playing during video, rendered perfectly, thank you! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I was so worried!
Anyways, can I just convert all the MP3s to Windows Media Audio and will that work?

the problem is not mp3, it's buggy mp3 encodings. You don't have to convert it to WMA, you just need to re-encode it in mp3 with a non-buggy encoder.

Oh any encoders that suggest? I did use itunes to convert a song from a CD to an MP3 format, but it still freezes during rendering even with that.
PS Thanks for the quick reply.
