There are a couple of products - SteadyHand is the one that most frequently is mentioned.

I have used it to save a couple of otherwise wretched pieces of video. Be aware that in reducing shake, the resolution is also reduced.

I use Steadyhand. It is straightforward and works well on some footage, but no on everything. I have used DeShaker for Virtualdub, but it was a little involved to set up.

The one I am dying to use -- but it only works as a Premiere or After Effects plugin, not as a standalone -- is Steadymove. The demos on their site are just amazing. Of course, they may have faked it. Check it out at:

Steadymove is real, those guys really know their stuff. For me, I use Combustion for camera steadying and it works great.

Last month I uploaded a short video clip that demonstrated the use of SteadyHand. You can find it here under the name "riredale intro_split."

If you want to see the finished clip (without the split), look for "riredale-europe_by_song intro." You'll need to scroll down to the 26-50 batch of videos to find it.

it's free and what's more much better than steadyhand. I presume it works almost as, if not just as good as steadymove.
