Finally I can group my audio tracks according to function, collapse/expand them, solo and mute them !

I can have separate groups for (say) drums, vocals, dialogue, SFX, guitars, dialogue, etc, and access them (or kill) exclusively at the click of a buutton.

Now all we need is envelopes and FX chains on the grouped track.

I'm not sure if you're talking about v10 which I don't have but I think what you're describing is done with busses, envelopes can be used by showing the buss as a track (B), effects can be added to the buss as well - with automated sends even...

Yep - introduced in V10.0d .

Almost the same functionality as busses (but no plugins or envelopes yet).

But the primary functionality is to group tracks that you specify into a single collapsible track (introduced V10.0), which we can now mute or solo.

Tidies up timeline, - to remove the clutter of many tracks, and now to facilitate concentration on those or the remaining tracks with a single click. You working on vocals ? Do you really want to see 20 tracks of drums, guitars, percusiion, etc, in your workspace at the same time ?
