OK, I'm officially pissed off! (Vegas Video 2.0f update)

I hope I'm not the only one with this problem, but I just installed the 2.0f update and guess what? All of my titles in previous projects are gone! Every title I created with the text generator has been replaced with the word "text." Needless to say, this does not make me very happy. I haven't tried going back to 2.0d yet, but maybe that will work. Anyone else out there have this problem?

So, why not return to your previous version, render those projects to avi's and then import them into the new version. Should work, and then you could make whatever additional changes you want to make from within the new version.

Only areas of the imported avi that you alter will require further rendering, so quality loss should not be a problem.

Hope this helps.

It does the exact same thing for me.

OK, Sonic Foundry, I've got hundreds of projects that suddenly the title slides no longer work.

WHAT HAPPENED!

Subject: legacy project text problems in 2.0f- patch now available
Posted by: SonicEPM

Some of you have reported problems importing text from pre-2.0f Vegas projects. Here's the fix- should take about 2 minutes total:

download the file "vidpcore.dll" from this ftp site:

ftp://porker.sonicfoundry.com/

User: dude
Password: sweet

put this newly downloaded "vidpcore.dll" file in the folder:

":\Program Files\Sonic Foundry\Shared Plug-Ins\Video".

Ok to overwrite existing.

Restart Vegas, open up problem projects- text should be there.

We'll continue to watch this closely- sorry for the inconvience. Post results here if possible.

Thanks-

We'll be posting a version "G" this afternoon but if you already have downloaded and instelled the vidpcore.dll, there is no need to update Vegas- that's the only fix.
