Are those plugs available to Vegas if you try to put them on a track? If not then Vegas doesn't have access to them. If so then are the plugs different versions from the ones originally used? Sometimes Waves can be finicky about that. Can you load the older version of the plugs if that is the case?

wave works perfectly on this system...its a long running wave/sony bug

i'd have to open them on an old system - but once I then bring them back to current system they will probable not work

Waves has traditionally installed different types of its plugins, mainly RTAS, DirectX and VST. It appears that Waves has dropped support for DirectX in the latest versions, it is possible that you referenced the DirectX version of the Waves plugins in your old projects and now those the DirectX plugins no longer exist. This is a Waves problem, not Vegas.

i think you are right and unfortunate waves support just tried to say it was vegas...that's wonderful since I have to pay them yearly for the support plan....

Yep, if you had Waves 5, then they were DX, newer versiions became VST-only. And they don't 'translate'.. And what's worse, Waves 5 won't co-exist with later versions :-( . Major bummer, eh.

But not a problem SCS can do anything about .
