DIRECT X SUPPORT FOR EACH TRACK!!!

This is such a big deal to me and probably most other PC
users out there. I'm sorry, but I really don't understand
what the problem is. It's just that when it comes to
compressors(like my C1) and other insert type effects, I
need it on the track and not an FX send. It would be nice
to know if this will ever show up because I'm sure it will
affect many purchasing decisions.

I might be wrong, but I thought Steinberg's new version of
Wavelab was going to be very similiar to Vegas...

initially the difficulty of setting up DX plugs bugged me too, but once i figured out how to put 'em in chains (ooh! sexy), it occurred to me that having it set up through FX sends makes a lot of sense. the send makes it much easier to tweak the amount of wet/dry signal and you can use the same plug on different tracks at different settings, etc etc. it's actually getting close to the comfortability of a "real mixer and deck." amazing how you forget about these sorts of things after working exclusively on computers for so long :)

one thing i would like to see is a more intelligent/intuitive retake dialog box after i've finished live recording on a track. i'm probably doing it "wrong," but i don't enjoy having to delete the file entry and then going back to rerecord... just a simple retake button would be all i'd need.

the beta seems extremely stable and i'm pleased as punch with the results so far. thanks SF. this should be *killer*.
