One second to Ten?

In my film I have a one second clip. I want to expand that to ten second, I mean I want to stop the film just there for about ten seconds (because I want to have a text rolling just there).

How do I expand my one-second-clip to ten seconds?

Use a velocity envelope. You can add points to this envelope to vary the speed. If you set one of these points to zero, the event will slow down and freeze at that point for as long as you'd like. To resume speed, add another point and increase the speed back to 100%. You can also go in reverse.

you can also right click on the clip and uncheck the "loop" box then stretch the clip to ten (or nine) seconds if it's the last frame you wish to have hold.
