I just switched out my ATi PCI capture card for a newer ATi AGP capture card. Now I can only cature video when I am online.
I think it maybe the IRQ.? The modem and ATi card are assigned to IQR 11.
My system is a PIII 500mhz.
Thats prolly it. Have you tried just removing the modem from the device manager and rebooting ? Try that first.
Here's some info on changing IRQs if that dont work, what I do now is that when I tried some time ago to change to the "Standard PC HAL" it wasnt pretty. If memory servers correctly, in the end I had to do a complete f-disk and reinstall.
" Manually assigning IRQs to PCI slots in the system BIOS as a troubleshooting method may work on some non-ACPI systems that use a standard PC hardware abstraction layer (HAL), but these settings are ignored by Plug and Play in Windows if ACPI support is enabled. If you need to manually assign IRQ addresses through the BIOS to a device on an ACPI motherboard, you must reinstall Windows to force the installation to use a Standard PC HAL.
