Only half screen pan/crop

I am racking my brain trying to figure this one out! I have a 10 second clip of somebody walking in front of my stationary shot while shooting video. I decided I would pan/crop the person's face like it was witness protection. When I pan/crop the image and add witness protection it only goes half way across the event and the pan/crop drops off of the event. It works from the right edge of the screen to literally the half way point and then just doesn't continue to follow the face. The video keeps going. Just the pan/crop stops at the halfway point. In trying different clips and different scenarios, I also took a clip where I pan the camera and the subject remains stationary. I get the same result.

I am using Vegas 15, build 261. If I try the same sequence in Vegas 13 it works fine so I know it is not my hardware. I saw an earlier post about pan/crop and tried the magnet function. No change. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

As I demonstrated on DVINFO. Working as expected here. Can't repro your comments.

I'm using VP15 Build 261:

Pixelation Method 1: Successfully used VEGAS Pixelate in Pan/Crop using the Mask and Applied FX control - OK

Pixelation Method 2: Successfully used HitFilm Witness Protection (Pixelate) - OK

Rendered both examples and they are both what I would expect. No issues at all.

Maybe it's not Pan/Crop which is hidden half way but your pixelation FX due to an accidentally FX bypass. So check the upper bar of your video preview window if FX Bypass is enabled.

Check to see that the FX Split Screen is not enabled.

Thanks, Marco & David-Tu. I will look into that and see if that is the problem. It would be whatever defaulted because I haven't adjusted those settings.
