opened in windows movie maker

from what i have read from others they were able to open the video in windows movie maker (running xp) save it then open it in vegas. when i click save project as it doesn't give me a option of saving in any other way besides mswmm.. i still can't open it in vegas. i saved it in the folder where the pictures are stored but when i open that folder its not in there. do i still need to get a codec or just doing something wrong again? by the way thanks for all the help so far someone should pay you all for doing their job they are no help..

is your question related to the issue of getting your digicam video file into VMS? If so, see my reply in your "Video clips" thread.

But to answer your question , it's not a matter of saving the project, you have to render it or Finish Movie. Click on "Save to my computer", choose filename and select location - click Next, then click on the "Show more choices..." link, click Other Settings..., and choose DV-AVI(NTSC) - click Next, click Finish to create file.
