Not as far as I know.

No, but would be handy, and vice-versa. Info irrelevant to the app could just be ignored.

If not opening, then exporting/importing or even better a standard interchangeable file format, such as OMF or AAF (Acid does not have AAF, Vegas does).

Would be sweet if .acd files could be nested in Vegas or .veg files nested in ACID. Seems like allowing that in Vegas with ACID installed on the same PC wouldn't be too difficult.

Yep. Been 'suggesting' since about V5 !

Maybe the internal audio engines are just too different in nature ...

This is where the "Suites" (Final Cut Studio & Adobe CS) really shine. If Sony would deliver the same type of interaction/communication it would definitely step SCS up a few notches.

Well SF/CDA and SF/Vegas are pretty much integrated, as well as Acid/SF.

But just not Acid and Vegas ;-|

So, we can already roundtrip Vegs > SoundForge > Vegas &/or Acid > SoundForge > Acid?

Most of what I can do in SF... I can already do in Vegas... but Acid is a different beast that I'd love to interact with Vegas or have VSTi &/or ReWire capabilities in Vegas.

This would be more of a 'Cool' Feature as apposed to a 'Must Have'.

Yea, I just asked again out at NAB 2012 this year along with being able to drop a Vegas project into DVD Architect and create a DVD without rendering first. It would be sweet if we could drop any project into any project in the suite. (pun intended) ;-)
