Opening Vegas Pro V11 projects with V13

Just recently upgraded from Vegas Pro-11 to V-13.
I am surprised that I can not open my older projects. That renders my Digital Juice templates obsolete. I am using Vegas since 2003 never experienced this before with any upgrades.
Any ideas, what could be done?

Might help if you told us what error/s you are seeing... Also your system specs filled in in your profile.
