Opinions on Boris fx 7 with Vegas 5?

A large part of my work with Vegas is to edit together my 3d rendered animations. Since my workflow is usually to composite my separate 3d layers in AE and then edit them together in Vegas, I have been considering using Boris fx within Vegas5 to simplify the process. I am mainly interested in using the z-matte from Boris fx for DOF and using reelsmart moblur via the AE plugin support of Boris. This would save endless trips back and forth form AE to Vegas and keep my projects more tweakable till the end.

I have read in older posts that Boris fx is somewhat buggy in Vegas....Is anybody happy with Boris fx integration with Vegas5? Maybe it works better in v4 than v5 of vegas? Also, will the reelsmart moblur plugin work within Boris fx?

Any opinions would be most helpful!!
Cheers....

I have used Boris FX and Graffitti on Vegas 5 no problem.

I did a forum post recently which involved basically a Boris *Red* preset that inadvertantly shipped with the Boris *FX* package. Boris FX didn't like the Red setting file and thus it crashed. The problem was not actually with FX.

I have since moved to Boris Red.

All of the Boris products have worked very well with Vegas 5 for me.

thanks for the reply kentwolf...I am downloading the demo, now that I know at least one person has used it successfully in Vegas 5.

Cheers!
