Optimize not available in VV4?

Is there a reason optimizing for DVD was left out of VV4 yet included with DVD-A?
The reason I ask is I went through all the calculations etc... and encoded my time line using the settings only to get a file that was too big and had to be re-encoded a second time when trying to burn to DVD through DVD-A.

Any chance we can get this added to the next update please?

All optimize does in DVD-A is flag files that may/will need recompressing either because they are of the wrong type for DVD or the sum of your project files is too large to fit on a disc.

In Vegas you can do the same thing by picking different templates and rarely by changing the bitrate. Video Factory, the little brother to Vegas replaced by a more powerful version licensed by Sony did caculate file size. I seem to recall there was a way to do it in Vegas, never used it myself. Maybe someone else remembers the step or if I'm just dreaming.

I've found that DVD-A is pretty accurate in estimating disc useage. Every project I've done so far I get up to about 4.6 GB and I have just a fraction of blank disc at the very edge about 1/16 of an inch once it is burned.
