Organising content

Hello there,

we are here with 6 editors with an ever growing content archive on our fileserver (it's currently 3 TerraByte).
We reuse this content for various clients, but right now only index it using foldernames.

The Media Manager from Sony Vegas doesn't seem to be the right tool to categorize and tag this big bulk of data.
Does anybody know of a (cheap) tool that works together with Vegas ? Or just works ? :-)

Check out this training video. Once you understand the power of media manager, it probably will be able to suit your needs.

Either way you do it, tagging is going to an whole project in itself, especially if you have a lot of material, but once you do that and once you tag regularly, Media Manager is very powerful. For example, you can tag which clips have been used in which productions or with which clients.

I have to agree that Media Manger just doesn't cut it for me. I only have one monitor and having media manger within the tiny pane is not good enough. I wish they would pop it into a separate application like Adobe Bridge.
