OT: 1080p HD Is Coming to YouTube

I just came across this announcement on the official YouTube blog.

We're excited to say that support for watching 1080p HD videos in full resolution is on its way. Starting next week, YouTube's HD mode will add support for viewing videos in 720p or 1080p, depending on the resolution of the original source, up from our maximum output of 720p today.

aww man... :( With each upgrade I get more & more stutter, pauses, etc. even from downloaded videos.

I'm with TheHappyFriar, I'd say YouTube should stay with 720p for now and solve the problems they already have, instead of adding a whole new can of worms.

Besides, it would seem that their definition of 1080p is somewhat different from the rest or the world's.
