Am I the only one on the edge of my seat to see what goodies are in Vegas 6? Hopefully this week goes by quicker than the last one. It seemed like an eternity.
I'm simply observing how some get so gosh damn excited over a trade show. If you've never went to any, then maybe you'll think its a hoot, but the reality is lots of waiting in lines, miles of aimless wandering around the exhibition floors, big crowds, bad food, crowded hotels generally poorer service because of it, wall to wall people, longer than usual waits in restaurants, harder to get a taxi. Its not my idea of "fun"... but to each his own.
I dont think many are excited about the trade show itself, but more likely excited about the stuff being announced/released at NAb2005. I know the mac crowd is stoked by FCP 5 being announced and DVD Studio 4 just as Vegas users are jacked about Vegas 6. Adobe users probably wont care because Adobe has no plans to release much info, if any, at NAB.
6 Days to go and we can buy the new Vegas 6. Personally I could care less if NAB2005 was over as soon as Vegas 6 was released. Im not attending NAB but will watch impatiently until then.
I am hoping Nero and M$ offer some products that will finally allow Menu creation, etc... for H.264 AVC/WM-HD and maybe finally seeing VC-1 released. Sonic has some program thatt is supposed to offer WM-HD authoring but everytime I email and ask for availability, I am told that its still in development.
-Thirty or forty something juvenile watch in effect-
Interesting observation: Its ALWAYS the kind that trot out the I'm a professional card or pretend superior morality that routinely act the least adult in this forum. For supposedly GROWN MEN to act like little kids counting off the days to a software release speaks volumes. None of it in anyway remotely suggesting you are even close to professional anything. Ditto for somebody saying troll watch.
