OT: a good videomagazine ?

Can you recommend some videomagazines which also covers the semi-pros and the amateurs? - i.e. not only writing about RED, ARRI etc. but also about cameras down to some 500 USD?

Right now I am reading some digital (still) camera magazines (like "What Digital Camera - from UK) - but they tend to neglect the video possibilities when they review and test new cameras.

I like to read three - DV Magazine, Videomaker and Videography...
You can also sign up for some free publications - one of which is P3 Update.

I was going to recommend those also. However I wonder if they are U.S. only.

I used to get Studio Monthly which always had excellent quality articles, reviews, and tutorials on hardware and software. Then they retired the print copy and went digital only. Unfortunately I like reading magazines as a way to get away from the computer so they lost a reader when they went purely digital. Maybe when I get a tablet, digital magazines will be more fun.

The only other magazine that I really look forward to is Creative Cow Magazine. This year they've been publishing randomly, but the magazine is excellent every issue. Maybe that's why I like it. They consider the content to be first, and only send out an issue once they have articles to fill it. Rather than sending out an entire magazine with one good article and lots of filler.

I usually read Creative Cow Magazine cover to cover.

They are US pubs, but available for purchase here or by subscription (mailed) - I am in Toronto.
P3 Update is mailed to me but they also have an online newsletter.

I checked these magazines - and decided for "the Videomaker", which covers my interests well.

As I also like to read a paper copy sitting near the fireplace (live in cold Denmark) I made a printed-copy subscription.

They charge some 2 USD for the postage - which is absolutely fair - and since the US is only some 10 freight-plane-hours away from here, I will probably not have to wait long for the monthly copy.

Videomaker is excellent for many topics and tuition, I subscribe to the pdf version here in the UK for about $12 a year, good value

Look into the Videomaker Plus online version too. It provides access to online tutorials and quite a bit of information that isn't available in the plain Videomaker Magazine format.
