OT-Adding DV codec

Hello,

I am using Particle Illusion on my Vegas 6 machine.. and I have been told by the Illusion folks that i need to add the "Panasonic DV codec" to be able to work with Widescreen DV files and other files I wish to work with.. I am very skittish about loading another Dv codec on my machine.. as i use a variety of DV applications on this machine,Vegas 6,After Effects 6.5,DV Rack,Ultra etc..My question is, does anyone know if this codec will cause any problems with my other applications??

Thanks,
Mike Moncrief

I had to add it to my machine, too. No problems have arisen since then (6 months ago). I use Vegas 5.

Overall I have never had any issue with other DV codecs on my system however you have tyo be careful to leave "Ignore thrid party DV codecs" checked in the Vegas perfs.

Hello,

OK thanks guys.. I fell a lttle bit braver to actually install this thing.. I just worry that it will clobber one of my other apps..

Thanks,
