From Apple Insider:

Adobe Systems Inc. will announce Tuesday that its highly-anticipated Creative Suite 3.0 software suite will be available in six distinct bundles with European pricing ranging from €999 to €2799, AppleInsider has learned.

Adobe Creative Suite 3.0 Software Bundles

Design Standard: InDesign CS3, Photoshop CS3, Illustrator CS3, Acrobat 8 Professional, for €1,269.

Design Premium: InDesign CS3, Photoshop CS3 Extended, Illustrator CS3, Acrobat 8 Professional, Flash CS3 Professional, Dreamweaver CS3, for €1,999.

Web Standard: Flash CS3 Professional, Dreamweaver CS3, Fireworks CS3, Contribute CS3, for €999.

Web Premium: Photoshop CS3 Extended, Illustrator CS3, Acrobat 8 Professional, Flash CS3 Professional, Dreamweaver CS3, Fireworks CS3, Contribute CS3, for €1,699.

Production Premium: Photoshop CS3 Extended, Illustrator CS3, Flash CS3 Professional, After Effects CS3 Professional, Premiere Pro CS3, Soundbooth CS3, Encore CS3, for €1,999.

Master Collection: InDesign CS3, Photoshop CS3 Extended, Illustrator CS3, Acrobat 8 Professional, Flash CS3 Professional, Dreamweaver CS3, Fireworks CS3, Contribute CS3, After Effects CS3 Professional, Premiere Pro CS3, Soundbooth CS3, Encore CS3, for €2,799.

I don't know what this Photoshop CS3 Extended is, but it sounds more like CS3 Extended is the standard edition, and the CS3 standard is the limited edition, the standard only comes with one suite.

I see no mention of Adobe Audition, which was hugely popular, but my guess is that it was redesigned into Soundbooth, which was announced earlier last year.

I feel bad for Acrobat, who will never get the coveted CS branding. And look, Flash has already reached CS3, wow way to catch up Flash! Don't get jealous, Acrobat, we know you're the only true, original Adobe application...

>>>I see no mention of Adobe Audition, which was hugely popular, but my guess is that it was redesigned into Soundbooth, which was announced earlier last year.<<<

I would gather that to be it. Adobes description of Soundbooth is:

Soundbooth is a brand new application built in the spirit of Sound Edit 16 and Cool Edit that provides the tools video editors, designers, and others who do not specialize in audio need to accomplish their everyday work such as:

Yeah - you read correct - it has a SmartSound/CInescore type feature. The beta expires today (April 24) so if anyone wats to try it out wait until Tuesady or so. ;)

EDIT - FYI - http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/launchevent/

EDIT 2 - If anyone wants some little tutorials to see how Soundbooth works go here: http://www.adobe.com/newsletters/edge/january2007/articles/article2/index.html?trackingid=QZVE

EDIT 3 - ok - Soundbooth is not replacing Audtion fully, only in the bundles - from Adobe -

Adobe Soundbooth is designed to enable creative professionals to produce high-quality audio. Offering the ability to quickly record, edit, and customize audio and music for web and video production, Adobe Soundbooth makes the delivery of pristine sound tracks fast and efficient. Adobe Soundbooth will take the place of Adobe Audition in the next version of Adobe Production Studio. Adobe Audition will continue to be developed for audio professionals as a stand-alone product for Windows.

FYI,

The Production Premium and Master Collection is supposed to have HD DVD and Blu Ray authoring.

Audition has been removed and replaced with Sound Booth. Audition will still be available as a separate app. Soundbooth is supposed to be like Cinescore is for Vegas.

edit: on a side note, Adobe is really pricing themselves out of the market. The cost for Master Collection if the price is correct will be nearly $4000USD and the Production Premium will nearly $3000USD. WTF are they thinking?

Apparently DVRack HD has its named changed to OnLocation. At least they include Ultra and DVRack if the name change is right.

edit #2: OnLocation is the name change. A google search for OnLocation brought this page up showing DVRack support.

Sony's competition is getting much harder. Blu Ray has been confirmed.

I have to admit it is tempting to make the change over especially since I use everything minus Premiere Pro. I highly doubt PPCS3 has improved that much, surely not any better than V7. But After Effects CS3, Photoshop CS3 Extended, Ultra CS3, and OnLocation while throwing in EncoreCS3 for BD authoring, you cant beat the package anywhere.

Woah!

PS CS3 Extended looks very cool thus far. Importing video directly - cleaning up video. The demo had them taking in video of traffic on a bridge. Imported every 5 frames of video, about 90 PS layers - hit another button and *poof* - all the traffic is now gone from the bridge. I can see this being a MAJOR time saver for effects, animation and the like.

And the vanishing point is now multy planed.

So much info - and I have to go and pick up my daughter....I want to see more.

Anyone else watching this?

I can see this being used for extensive green screen work as well. How nice would it be to remove certain things from video but not all of the content? Im totally jacked about this product.

We are, over here. PSCS3 looks like a powerhouse tool. I was blown away at how fast it launches

Adobe looks tohave hit a major home run thus far. I was thoroughly impressed with the After Effects CS3 stuff I saw earlier today as well.

Spot, during the Q&A, ask if they plan to open up any of the integrated apps and communication to third party NLE's who may not prefer to use Premiere to edit with. Thanks.

4:54 EST - Video stuff coming on right now.

EDIT - Holy crap - vanishing point import - auto 3D - weeeeeeeeeeeeee.
"Puppet tool" feature - he he. Ok,...after the fun factor - animation wise this is very cool.

Hmmmm - not a huge fan of Encore but the ability to export the entrie DVD as a flash movie for the web - now that is of intrest.

At First Glance it doesn't appear that they did much with Ultra.

I see that they will let you get Web Premium (what I need) for instance and then later give your credit toward the Master Collection.

I can upgrade from Macromedia Studio 8 Pro to Web Premium
But I also have AE 6.5 Pro, Ultra 2, Illustrator CS2 and Photoshop CS2

Seems like I ought to get credit for all the apps that I would be upgrading. They were Ala Carte and not part of the Suite.

Wow, Encore CS3 looks amazing!

i love me some new after effects and PSCS3, but I have no doubt premiere will still suck and Soundbooth will also suck. Not for lack of power, but for interface.

I wish Sony would buck up and integrate an After Effects into Vegas or just create a standalone. After Effects capabilities with Vegas/Acid style interface would be incredible.
