OT: ADS Dual Link Drive Kit - Anybody using this?

Hello,
I have this ADS Dual Link Drive Kit that i'm having problems with. I installed a WD 120gig 7200 rpm drive a couple of weeks ago and after a couple of days, the drive just doesn't wanna spin up anymore and I can hear a loud clicking sound whenever I turn it on. 3 days ago, I replaced the drive with another WD 120 gig, tonight same thing happened. I hear the dreaded "Click-of death" . Could it be that I have defective drive for the 2nd time? Or is the external enclosure messing it up? I'm using it via firewire. The enclusure has the Oxford 911 chip. Just wondering if anybody here has used this enclosure for WD drives. TIA!!!

We've got 60+ of them. It sounds like you have a funky drive again. But...if you've got the 911 chip, contact Ivan at ADS, tell him you need the firmware upgrade. No physical changes, just a download. It's not what's killing the drives, but you should have the upgrade anyway. It's free.
If it's the Dual link, are you SURE it's the 911, and not the 922?

Thanks for the quick reply.
Yes, i'm sure it's the 911. Do you happen to know the details of that firmware upgrade? What does it fix? I know of a firmware upgrade for the said enclosure which deals with the 130gig limit and can be found in the included CDROM which came with the drive. Is this the same one?

Oh BTW Spot, I just have to say that I enjoyed your Class-On-Demand 4 disc DVD on Vegas 4.0!
