OT: ADS Pyro A/V Link - Opinions?

I'm looking for an inexpensive way to get Vegas to an external NTSC monitor with 7.5 ire setup. I'm familiar with the Canopus products, but I saw this at quite an attractive price over the weekend and wondered if they were any good? Primarily it would be used for feeding the monitor from a 1394 port, but I might also use it to capture some VHS footage on a second computer from time to time.

Anybody got one and could give me a rundown? They are less than $150, so I wonder about the quality.
