I can't afford one of the new Sony HDV cameras yet, but I really want to shoot widescreen anamorphic, so I bought a Century Optics anamorphic lens for my VX2000. As I played with it for the first time today, I got a sinking feeling that I made a mistake in getting it. All the way wide is not wide enough for a wide shot, and the edges are no longer square. If I zoom in more than just a little, I can't seem to get focus. The image doesn't look as good color-wise either. How practical are these lenses?
OT: Anamorphic Lens.
