I'm getting a "page not available" and when I search for Cassini, I only get an interview in QT about the arrival of Titan, no photo essay.
Could there be a problem with the link?
I went to a special "Huygens party" hosted by the Planetary Society in Pasadena on Thursday night. A few of the main players on the cassini project were there and gave some excellent presenations. There was one person from the ESA - although of course most everyone on the ESA side of things were over in their mission control in Germany.
It was a great "celebration" with around 500+ people sharing in the moment.
I captured video of the event and I'll be pulling it together into a cable show.
Although the main stars of the event were of course the scientists (and their presentations on Titan/Huygens) the party was also attended by a number of hollywood "stars" who support science advocacy including "Robert Picardo" (Star Trek - Voyager(?)), John Rhys Davis (Lord of the Rings) and even Bill Nye (the Science Guy).
It was a cool evening... especially after Huygens landed and has sent back such spectacular views of a moon unlike any other in the solar system.
Thanks for the better link. I'm not into astronomy at all, other than seeing wonderful stars out here with no city lights to mess em' up, but I do enjoy seeing projects done in Vegas.
Nice bit of work!
I did not mean to mislead you. I don't know that NASA uses Vegas. And further this is not my work, merely a link to the work of great minds. I apologize for the error. John
