I'm really getting fed up with windows and all it's errors and problems. I was wondering if there was any program that you can get for linux that would allow you to run things such as Vegas, Office 2003, Photoshop, etc?
wine is a great poduct, not an emulator but "Windows compatibility layer", with codeweavers at the forefront. the above apps you mentioned except for vegas, all work on wine, perfectly.
also i checjked out codeweavers, to see if it was on there list of apps. It has not been tested, and is currently 250. You can vote, pledge money, or become an advocate, to help furtther vegas along on linux.
I've got to tell you, though, Linux distros have more security built in. Most Windows users think they want security but as soon as they're restricted by it they scream bloody murder.
If that's your issue you'll scream more with Linux.
Don't count on Vegas running under Linux though. It really leans on Window's infrastructure.
