Never tried it. When would someone with vegas need something like this? The only time I seem to need a 3rd party app is when I want to convert a flv file for editing in vegas. I use Super(C) for that. I didn't read that StreamCllip could deal with flv files.

Have you tried it Jay?

I have experimented with it a bit. It's huge in the Mac world. When I licence HDV footage to a Mac/Final Cut Pro user I generally send them an HDV file (m2t) and a link to Streamclip if they want to convert it into something else.

Amen to that, Streamclip is excellent.

Ditto here. I used to use it all the time to import from DVD-VR dics in my previous incarnation as a MediaStudio Pro user and initially also with Vegas.

No, I haven't. That's why I was asking.

A friend of mine, who uses FCP, suggested I try it. He told he was having problems opening older files and this enabled him to do so.

I went to their site and read all about the app., I just wasn't certain how I would use it. Hence the original question.
