A friend was trying to play some .m2ts files on a Win 8.1 box and downloaded this player and he reports it is working well. I was just wondering if it was dangerous to give it a try - overlaying Vegas-installed codecs.

The Windows version was released just two weeks ago, and it's a company based in China.
Think I'll wait a while.
