Long time ago, I used the CCE - but not the basic version. However, at least with the CCE I never had a conflict with Vegas.

Were you using it with Vegas 6b? I never had the problem with previous version of Vagas 5.0 down.

No, not really I am afraid. I have used the CCE for some testing only, and given the good encoding quality of the mainconcept encoder in Vegas, I have seen little need to continue to use the CCE at all.

I'm using CCE Basic (latest version) with Vegas 6.0b and haven't had any problems. I'm running XP SP2 on a zd7000. CCE has been rock solid for me and is an excellent encoder. I dumped the Mainconcept encoder back at Vegas 4 and haven't used it since. I did notice it supports two-pass now. I love CCE and it's given me fantastic results.
