Hey all,
I have two computers networked via firwire and there doesn't seem to be any rhym or reason to whcih ext FW HDs are read by which machine. I have 6 drives daisychained and plugged into computer A, yet computer B shows 2 of them and the rest are on computer A. They also change letters on me, depending on which computer takes which drive, and that is really starting to play havoc with my workflow.
Is there any way to tell the network, "This is ALWAYS Drive G and it ALWAYS belongs to computer A"? Does a "shared drive that is read on a different computer slow down on the secondary one? Isn't technology fun?
Thanks
