OT:"AUDIO_TS" folder

On every dvd there is the above folder - yet all the dvd's I have examined this folder is always empty.
Is this folder present for future use to hold audio stuff or what.

The AUDIO_TS folder is for DVD Audio and contains *.AOB files.

Don't confuse this with the audio component of your video. That's inside the .VOB files in your VIDEO_TS folder.

The AUDIO_TS folder is probably not needed but I leave it there anyway, empty, just in case some player has a compatibility problem.

i have noticed a lot of dvd's coming out lately that do not have the AUDIO_TS folder , from mostly Sony Studios ...
