I just discovered this free application that will let one rename a full batch of clips with a different name. Very usefull if like me you were a little messy at the beginning of some project with title of project "or" if you loss track on a long time project "or" even if you got files from a different source.

I just renamed a batch cause after capturing a tape, I found another tape that was actually recorded earlier than the first one so I just changed the numbers on the first one to "insert" my new tape numbers between. (Always carry a pencil to id your tapes when you shoot, I know ...)

I got a question now: I have no problem with these files I just did since I'm still in the "capture" process with these clips. But I already got bits and pieces of editing already done concerning this project. If I rename files being used by my VEG project files I know I'll lose track BUT is there a place in Vegas where I could rename the files I'm using inside these edited parts accordingly to the actual clips I would rename on my Hard drives so I don't mess up my work?
